The third piece to be made in this style. The Medullary rays on this piece are uniform and neat but complicated. The carving In the center in response is also tight and relatively uniform.
As with all these pieces there is a fascinating depth to both the figuring of the timber and the physical gilded carving. These pieces are made by the timber patterning guiding the carving and finishing an need not be presented upright as in the photos, they are just as relevant when displayed horizontally though the aesthetic will change.
